The book club resumes in 2017 under the new leadership of Cait Dalzell, current volunteer at the Center. Cait loves books, libraries, and especially discussing great LGBT graphic novels. So we thought the perfect reading selection for this month should be the newly released comic book tribute, Love is Love, published by two of the premiere publishers in comics: DC and IDW.
This oversize comic contains moving and heartfelt material from some of the greatest talent in comics, mourning the victims, supporting the survivors, celebrating the LGBTQ community, and examining love in today's world. All proceeds from the sale of this book directly benefit the families of the Orlando Pulse tragedy and Equality FL. We encourage everyone to purchase a copy and join in on the discussion: www.idwpublishing.com/product/love-is-love/.
This is a space where all women - bi, lesbian, pan, trans, and otherwise queer - are welcome.
Note: we have a limited amount of free copies of Love is Love available for folks interested in attending the book club- to claim your free copy, please visit the Center and ask for Briana, our Program Director.
